Mudathon Intro

Well, in case you are thinking you are the first to sign up for this act of foolish courage then you are wrong! We ran the roads, the trail, the mountains and eventually ran out of places to run!! There being no other ideas and because we can we decided to run on mud ! Mudathon has been
around since 31st July 2021 when the first bunch of over 200 crazies decided to join us at Camp Ndunda in Embu for the first-ever mudathon event.
As if that wasn’t enough the second round took place at KESAL on the slopes of Mt. Kenya before retiring when the dark days of the plague (COVID-
19) ravaged our lands leaving our runners running in the opposite direction to any semblance of gatherings.

The Venue

Our host and implementing partner KESAL has been around for a long time. Since 1990 KESAL, a public outdoor training center has been training gallant public servants and corporate clientele in experiential learning. The venue is set in the forest away from any neighbors and with an array of badass adventure activities including a military-grade high ropes course, zipline, paintball, giant climbing tower as well as a functional shooting range! Plenty of accommodations from deluxe rooms to budget rooms to camping are available making this the ideal venue for us.
